Winter 2018 Anime

It’s now 2018 so out with the old, in with the new. This week starts off winter 2018 anime that are coming out and I’ve been checking out as much as I can. My taste is pretty standard shonen affair for the most part so I don’t normally watch anything else. But as always, if I missed anything, feel free to drop me a comment below.

Now, as to what ended up passing my strict criteria……

Grancrest Senki #1

Grancrest Senki

As per my preview post, Grancrest Senki is in a world where demons attacked from another dimension. The people of the world gathered magickal items to fight off the invaders but they turned against each other trying to gain each other’s item.

So far, the characters seem bland and the way the story is going is not very organic. The Protagonist is very cliche, his only redeeming feature so far is that he is a zero to hero type of character and his costume design is very refreshing. You got a know it all mage in some sort of very uncomfortable costume. Not really sure who the antagonist is, humans or demons lol.

It’s only the 1st episode but I’ve seen enough to make me keep watching it, even with the initial flaws.

Kokkoku #1

Juri Yukawa is a NEET who lives at home with her family. One day, her nephew and brother are kidnapped for ransom. Having only 30 minutes to meet the demands of the kidnappers, she decides to head out to their rescue by herself with a knife in hand when her grandfather uses a mysterious stone to stop time.

As I previously mentioned, this anime looks and sounds interesting and I was not disappointed. So many elements in the world unanswered and it got me hooked on the latter half of the episode. Who the fuck were those other guys?

Ramen Daisuke Koizumi-san #1

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san

It’s about a girl who is normally quiet but is excited about ramen, ’nuff said.

To be honest, I’m just watching this for the ramen hahahahaha!

Toji No Miko #1

Toji No Miko

A group of modern-day Miko has been exorcising those creatures called Aratama using swords since olden times.

I didn’t think I was going to like this and I’m still 50/50 about this. I’m not a super fan of the 3d animation incorporated with some animes’. The fighting is the only thing that is keeping me tuned and the twist in the storyline.

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card #1 (aka Season 2)

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card

I never actually finished the 1st season of this anime but I am familiar with the story.

This 2nd season looks good, I might keep watching this.

More to come

Looking forward to the other batch of animes’ that is supposed to come out, 2-3 of them I am looking forward to. Can’t wait till they are released in the week.
